Many Native Americans suffered from exposure, diseases and starving while a route to their destinations, and many died over 4,000 people, out of 15,000 of the Cherokees people died. The Cherokee nations were forced to give up its land, east of Mississippi river and to migrate to an area in present day in Oklahoma.

Telling parents you’re pregnant

No (or a son who got a girl pregnant), even if they are angry or upset at first. But a few may react violently to the news and let anger get out of control. Matter how close you are to your parents; you’re going to wonder how they’ll react. It’s one thing if your parents realize you’re having sex and they’re ok with that .but it’s another thing if they’ve forbidden you to date or if having premarital sex is completely against their values and beliefs. Most parents want to be supportive of a daughter who is pregnant
First, find the word you might say I have something difficult to tell you. She found out that she’s pregnant. Then wait for your parents to absorb what you said. Not every parent yells. Many parents don’t. Even if parents have a strong reaction at first, most parents want to help their children out. Lots of teens are surprised at how supportive their parents turn out to be. Teens fears and worries, such as,” I’m scared about how I’m going to handle this, what my friends will think, and what it means about school.” Or, “I can’t believe this is happening to me and I’m not sure what to do.
You and your parents know your situation. If you need to tell your parents your pregnant but think they might react in a way that could hurt you have someone else with you when you are telling your parents hat your pregnant .If your concerned about your safety get a advice such as a teen health clinic or a teen pregnancy hotline can guide you and steer you to support you.
How to tell your parents you are pregnant:
• Stay calm
• Write a letter
• Make a plan
• Be specific about the future
• Bring a supportive relative along
• Tell them first don’t let them hear from someone else
• If they freak out, leave and come back later.
Telling your parent is hardest thing you will do. No matter what their initial reaction is, it will most likely changes over time , don’t let their pressure change what you want to do, even if they lay some heavy guilt or shame onto you. This is your body and your choice, you will the one to deal with it, stay calm and focused and prepare yourself.
